From their Web site, January 2003: "The Entomology Society of Queensland is an association of over 300 professional and amateur entomologists. It is dedicated to the furtherance of Pure and Applied Entomological Science and, since its inception in 1923, has promoted liaison amongst entomologists in academic, private and governmental institutions."
