Summary
The Cradle Mountain Reserve Board was established in July 1927 to administer the northern half of the Cradle Mountain Reserve (the southern half was managed by the National Park Board). Amongst the Board's responsibilities was the development of the area as a tourist attraction. In 1947 the two separate Boards were abolished and replaced by the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park Board, which was to manage the entire Reserve.
