Summary
The Commonwealth Bureau of Dental Standards was established in January 1947. Amongst the functions of the Bureau were research into dental equipment, materials, techniques and processes and providing testing facilities for manufacturers of dental materials. In 1973 the Bureau was abolished and its functions passed on to the Australian Dental Standards Laboratory.
