Summary
Ericsson Australia can trace its history back to the 1890s, when Swedish company L. M. Ericsson began supplying telecommunications equipment to Australia. Ericsson Australia is one of the largest companies in the Ericsson global group and has its head office in Melbourne. The company opened its first Australian sales office in Melbourne in 1951 and then in 1984 opened its first Australian Ericsson R&D Centre at Broadmeadows (Victoria).
