Summary
Formed in 1956, the Australian Coastal Shipping Commission took control of both the functions and property of the Australian Shipping Board. The Australian Coastal Shipping Commission traded as the Australian National Line. The name of the Australian Coastal Shipping Commission was changed in 1974, becoming the Australian Shipping Commission.
