Summary

In the year 2000, the Bureau of Transport Economics is part of the Commonwealth Department of Transport and Regional Services. The Bureau was formally known as the Bureau of Transport and Communications Economics, the change in name taking place around 1998. It is now called the Bureau of Transport and Regional Economics (BTRE, http://www.btre.gov.au/index.aspx).
