Summary
The Division of Applied Mineralogy was established in 1962. It replaced the Cement and Refractories Section, which had been part of the Division of Industrial Chemistry. In 1966 the Division incorporated Mineragraphic Investigations. 1971 saw this Division become simply the Division of Mineralogy.
