Abstract

The object of the paper is to present a discussion on the varied aspects of road-engineering in connection with the highways of that part of Victoria and New South Wales generally conveniently described as the "River Murray Plains" (in Victoria), or as the "Riverina" (in New South Wales). Much of the engineering practice is of a unique nature - due to the peculiar physical characteristics of these plains.
