Abstract: The Council of The Institution has decided that the 1940 Award of the Edward Noyes Prize be made to Dr. D. A. Morelli, M.E.; M.S.(Aero), Ph.D., A.M.I.E.Aust., for his paper entitled "The general formulae of moment distribution and their application to space frames", which he presented in Brisbane Division on 1st April, 1940, when a Student of The Institution, and which was published in the January, 1940 issue of The Journal.
