Abstract

Members of The Institution, crowded the meeting of the Melbourne Division, held in the Kelvin Hall, Melbourne, on Tuesday, 21st July, 1942, when Mr. A. G. M. Michell FRS MCE, lectured on 'Further developments in film lubricated bearings'. Mr. F. J. Walters, Chairman of the Division presided, and the attendance included Councillors of The Institution present in Melbourne in connection with the 92nd Meeting of the Council.

Mr. W. E. Bassett MC MMechE BEE, President of The Institution, introduced the speaker. The vote of thanks was moved by Mr. J. G. Burnell BE and supported by Sir Henry Barraclough KBE.
