Abstract

This paper constitutes a study of the various factors which have a bearing on the regulation of water supply storages, with particular reference to irrigation projects. A method of storage regulation, whereby any specific reduced outflow may be maintained throughout any particular drought period, is described, together with a procedure for determining the optimum normal and reduced outflows. The paper concludes with a simple graphical method of determining, from time to time during an irrigation season, the minimum probable supply to water users for the whole season.
