Abstract

This study deals with the regulating effect which a storage reservoir has on natural stream flows, and presents a method by which a wide range of the relationships between various storage capacities, regulated yields, and the use of these yields for irrigation, can be shown graphically. Economic considerations to be taken into account in the determination of the storage capacity which will be of greatest advantage to the community are also discussed.
The method suggested and opinions expressed are those of the author only.
