- Abstract
This paper contains new matter in the extension of a standard method "Characteristic Points." It deals, also, with the initial point on the moment closing line; conjugate points in adjacent spans, including fixed points as a special case; extension to frames; settlement of supports and displacement of joints; frames involving a closed circuit. A worked example of a continuous frame bridge design is given.
