- Abstract
This paper is restricted to the application of electric welding to the construction of bulk tanks for the storage of petrol or oil. The design and construction methods outlined are those that have been employed in the erection of fourteen large tanks of from 300,000 to 1,200,000 gallons capacity at various Australian main ports for the Commonwealth Oil Refineries Limited, during the years 1927-1930.
