Description

This Symposium of papers, No.1243, originated in the Sydney Division of The Institution and was originally presented to the Monaro Group of the Division on 28th April, 1954. It was subsequently amplified to include additional information, and Part 5 on Commissioning was added. It was then presented to a General Meeting of the Division on 10th November, 1955.

The authors were associated with the development of the project as Officers of the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Authority. Mr. H. E. Dann BMechE AMIEAust, is Chief Investigating Engineer; Mr. I. L. Pinkerton BSc BE AMIEAust, is Engineer-in-Charge, Civil Engineering Design; Mr. E. G. Warrell MCE AMIEAust, is Supervising Engineer, Scientific Services ; Mr. R. H. Blake, MC, was Supervising Engineer, Guthega Contract, during construction of the works; Mr. A. C. H. Frost BSc(Eng) MIEAust, is Electrical Power Engineer; Mr. W. M. Shellshear AMIEAust, is an Executive Engineer.
