Abstract

The Council of The Institution at the 102nd Meeting held at Melbourne on 19/3/1945 received a report from the Papers and Publications Standing Committee and approved the award of the following Prizes:-

Warren Memorial Prize:
1942 Award, to Messrs R J Dumas, ME MIEAust, and R A Macbeth, AMIEAust, for their paper "Design of Samson Brook and Stirling Dams, Western Australia", presented before the Perth Division on 28/7/41.
1943 Award, to Mr G O Boulton, ME MIEAust, for his paper, "The use of airlocks", presented before the Brisbane Division in May, 1942.
1944 Award, to Mr H J N Hodgson, MCE AMIEAust, for his paper "Sewage and sullage treatment at small Army and Air Force camps", presented before the Adelaide Division on 19/3/1943.

Electrical Association Premium:
1941 Award, to Mr J C Stobie, ME AMIEAust, for his paper entitled "Longitudinal loadings on flexible transmission line supports", presented before the Adelaide Division on 21/11/1941.
The paper by Mr J C A Fraser, AMIEAust, entitled "Salvaging, relaying and jointing submarine power cables" received special commendation.

The paper by Mr J C A Fraser, AMIEAust, "Salvaging, relaying and jointing submarine power cables" received special commendation.
