Abstract

Records dealing with the durability of various classes of Australian timbers for marine works, are unfortunately difficult to obtain, chiefly on account of the alterations in the control of the different Harbour Works during recent years from one authority to another, so affecting enquiries as to the date of construction and other particulars.
