Abstract

Test were made at The University of Adelaide on the amount of shrinkage after setting of various Australian cement mortars, with a view to determining whether there was any considerable difference in the contraction, and also the effect of variations of the water cement ratio, curing, and mix on such contraction. A spec1al type of measuring microscope was developed for the purpose of recording accurately the small changes of length involved in this investigation.
