Abstract

A digest of a paper recently read before the Victorian Institute of Surveyors. The author dealt with the policy which ought to be pursued in connection with the protection of lands in the Goulburn Valley, Victoria, from the effects of floods. After discussing various schemes, the author states that the best scheme may be by storage, channel enlargement, embanking or by-pass channels.
