Description

Sir John Holland Civil Engineer of the Year 2009:
Chris Dann was named Sir John Holland Civil Engineer of the Year in recognition of his contribution to engineering in Austarlia and overseas.

Warren Medal 2009:
Dr Brian Burman of Burman Consulting, and Garry Mostyn and David Piccolo of geotechnical consulting firm Pells Sullivan Meynink received the award for a paper "Experiences with post construction retesting of engineered clay fills", that challenged a long-accepted practice of retesting compacted fills sometime after they have been constructed, and using those tests to judge how well the fill was originally constructed.
