- Abstract
This paper outlines the range of measurements which may be undertaken in the course of studies of a beach erosion problem. Three basic regions are of interest: the beach, the sea and the air, and the various significant facets in each domain are mentioned. The available and desirable measurement processes in each area are discussed. Particular emphasis is given to those measurements which are of concern and to the available and recent techniques for making them.
