- Abstract
Burrinjuck, or as it was originally named 'Barren Jack,' Dam has been constructed primarily to store water for the needs of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Areas. The water released from the storage travels some 240 miles down the Murrumbidgee River to the Berembed Diversion Weir, where the main irrigation Canal takes off from the river.
