Abstract

The problem of radio interference from transmission lines is being examined both in the field and in the laboratory. Results which have so far been obtained indicate that, with proper insulator design and careful erection and maintenance, the area over which objectionable interference is produced may be limited to within a few yards of the line. From laboratory experiments, information has been obtained which indicates certain alteration in insulator design which may be expected to lead to further suppression of interference.
