Papers presented at the conference "Transport and communications: looking forward - looking back", held in Sydney, October 2022.

Abstract

Colonial Australian history has been dominated by the themes of transportation and communications. From the Overland Telegraph to modern fibre optic networks and satellites, communications have assisted in shrinking our vast country. Our progress on initiatives moving forward is built on our past achievements in these fields. The conference ran from 12 - 13 October 2022 in Sydney under the theme, 'Transport and Communications: Looking Forward - Looking Back'.
