- Abstract
There are about 723 Transom Top Timber Opening (TTTO) railway underbridges in NSW Many are life-expired and need replacing, but if they are heritage items of State significance then they cannot be demolish. This paper discusses the concept of State significance as used in heritage management in NSW. A conclusion is reached that while the TTTO class of bridge may be of State significance, the individual bridge over Cucumber Creek is not of State significance.
