- Abstract
The paper describes how an item of engineering bridgework, important to the social history of Darlington Point, was saved and reconstructed by a combined effort of the local community and students from the School of Civil Engineering, University of New South Wales. The project set a precedent as to what could be achieved once the will and resources were effectively mobilised and directed.
