In 1971 to reflect the expanded operations of the business, the name of Westfield Development Corporation Limited was changed to Westfield Limited.

Following a restructure of the company in 1979 Westfield Limited was delisted and two new entities were created - Westfield Holdings Limited and Westfield Property Trust.
