Mechanical Engineering Prize (1955 - 1975)

Institution of Engineers Australia

From
1955
To
1975

Summary

The Mechanical Engineering Prize was founded upon donations made for that purpose by members of the Institution of Engineers Australia, and was awarded annually for the paper deemed to be the most important contribution to the literature of the engineering profession on a mechanical engineering or allied subject.

Papers submitted for the award were judged by the Papers and Publications Committee of the Council of the Institution.

The award consisted of a certificate and a cash premium.

After 1975, when the Mechanical Engineering College was formed, the award was renamed the George Julius Medal.
