Summary

Tim Brown is a statistician whose research focuses on probability approximations and stochastic processes, and applied statistics. He has been Professor of mathematics or statistics at several universities, most recently at the University of Melbourne. Between 2008 and 2013 he was Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) at La Trobe University. Brown has held executive roles in professional organisations including as President of the Statistical Society of Australia and Director of the Australian Mathematics Science Institute.
