Summary

The Applied Research Award was inaugurated in 1980 by the Royal Australian Chemical Institute. Presented, usually annually, the Award recognises a member of the Institute who has made significant contributions within Australia to the development of, or innovation in, applied research or in industrial fields. As part of the Award, recipients occasionally receive a Medal named after an eminent Australian chemist or a previous winner.
