Summary
Hans Battaerd was a highly-respected industrial chemist who worked at the Central Research Laboratories of ICI Australia. In 1974, he was the joint inaugural recipient (with Denis Jordan) of the Australian Polymer Medal, awarded by the Polymer Division of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute. The Medal was later restyled the Battaerd-Jordan Australian Polymer Medal.
