Summary
The Ralph Slatyer Medal has been awarded annually since 2017 by the Research School of Biological Sciences at the Australian National University. It recognises outstanding research in the field of biology, including biomedical science, and may be awarded for lifetime achievement or for a major discovery. The recipient must be an Australian citizen or resident, or a researcher whose work has significant relevance to Australia. Ralph Slatyer was Professor of Biology in the School from 1967 to 1972, and Australia's first Chief Scientist.
