Summary
The Australian Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Society (ABACBS) is Australia's principal national scientific and professional society for bioinformatics and computational biology. Its aim is to promote excellence in the profession, provide support to students, and engage in advocacy and representation of the Society's interests and expertise. The Society presents several awards in recognition of research achievements. In 2017 it inaugurated the Senior Fellow award to acknowledge sustained and outstanding contributions in the field.
