Summary
The Australasian Society for Phycology and Aquatic Botany is a professional scientific association for those interested in algae and aquatic plants. It aims to promote, develop and assist the study of, or an interest in, phycology and aquatic botany within Australasia and elsewhere, and to establish and maintain communication between people interested in these fields. Occasionally the Society bestows Life Membership on individuals who have made outstanding contributions in scientific study of phycology and aquatic botany.
