Abstract

The Council of The Institution has decided that the 1958 Award of the Mechanical Engineering Prize of The Institution of Engineers, Australia, be made jointly to Colonel A. G. V. Parker, BE AMIEAust, for his paper entitled, "Road transport compression ignition engine development", which was published in the March 1958, issue of The Journal, and to Mr. S. A. Eyers, AMIEAust, for his paper entitled, "Mine cage safety gear with controlled deceleration", which was published in the September 1958, issue of The Journal.
