Abstract

The paper describes the experimental measurement, in south-eastern Australia, at a transmission frequency of 200 kilocycles per second, of:
(a) Direct ray attenuation for both inland and coastal districts;
(b) Severity of fading at distances up to 750 kilometres from the transmitter;
(c) Intensity of the indirect ray; and
(d) Amount of interference by atmospherics.
