The Council has pleasure in announcing the following prize-winners for the Open Prizes - 1974 Awards:
Chemical Engineering Prize [1974]. Professor J. S. Ratcliffe, FIEAust (Sydney Division) and Dr P. N. Tan (deceased) to be recorded as co-author. "Homogeneous catalytic chlorination of toluene", Mechanical and Chemical Engineering Transactions, vol.MC10, no.2, 1974, pp.29-34, and "Catalytic chlorination of toluene in a slurry reactor", Mechanical and Chemical Engineering Transactions, vol.MC10, no.2, 1974, pp.35-38.
