Abstract

The paper is based on the author's practical experience
in the construction and operation of automatic substations. As well as dealing with the technical aspects such as the different types of equipment and the operation methods appropriate to each type, an economic side of the question is considered. Details of the methods and staff required on the maintenance side are discussed.
