- Abstract
An ideal apparatus or pump for lifting sewage should possess the following features:-
(I) It should be sanitary both in its working and its efficiency;
(2) It should be simple, handy and easily accessible;
(3) It should be reliable and economical;
(4) Its wear and tear should be a minimum; and
(5) It should be able to take everything and anything which
was likely to get into the sewers, so as to render screening
unnecessary.
