- Abstract
The paper gives the theory of the Humphrey pump, and indicates the field for its use and some recent developments.
A complete description of the new 66-inch units at Cobdogla, South Australia, is given. The details of the pumps, such as the combustion head, interlocking operator, the ignition gear, the valves and the gas-generating plant are fully described.
The latter portion of the paper deals with the construction work on the site, and also with operating results and costs, both working and capital.
