- Abstract
The author sets forth in a very readable article some of the impressions he gained regarding Western Australian engineering practice during a recent trip from the east to attend the engineering conference in Perth.
He deals with engineering education and status, roads and bridges, quarrying plant irrigation, water supply and drainage, and points out the importance of bearing in mind, when considering these, that conditions in the West differ in several important respects from those in the eastern states.
