Abstract

The construction of the Canning Dam, now being built in Western Australia to supply water for the City of Perth and Metropolitan Area, has various novel features. This paper deals with the plant employed, the method of construction, and the costs of the more important items, particular reference being made to the use of bulk cement and the very substantial savings effected by this method of construction.
