Over 300 court houses have been built in NSW, most of them dating from the 19th and 20th centuries. They are interesting, not because of their distinctive architectural character, but because they reflect the life and style of their times. This book looks at the court houses themselves; their architects; their impact on the communities in which they were built; and the roles these building have played in the development of the state.
