Abstract

This is a copious digest of a paper read by the president, Mr. D. F. J. Harricks, before the last meeting of the Engineering Association of New South Wales. The engineer, he says, must come out more into the open in public affairs and assume a more prominent place in the regulation of those community interests towards which he now so largely contributes in thought and action. Several other interesting subjects are dealt with.
