- Abstract
The design and construction of the new State Bank Headquarters building in Sydney is described. The building is 40 levels and rises 150 metres above its foundations. The wind resisting structure is slender and wind tunnel testing was undertaken to predict loads and acceleration levels. The building is of reinforced concrete construction which made use of climb form techniques for the core, table forms for the typical floors, and pumped concrete.
