Abstract

A way must be found in Australia to reduce the cost of electric wiring; at present it is generally considered to be excessive. The author believes that means to the end have been provided by the use of air-cooled transformers for the lighting service, and installing low voltage lamps with open wiring. The difficulty of allowing "open" wiring is being discussed by representative associations.
