- Abstract
The flexibility of electric current makes it extremely suitable for country towns for lighting and power, and numerous installations have been made. The Mildura, Victoria, installation has been chosen for the subject, not because of any special feature in plant, but of difficulties met with and successfully surmounted. It was one of the pioneer installations. Electric power plants require no more professional attention than other similar undertakings, and the author holds the view that country town schemes can be made to pay well.
