Abstract

Description of bridge at Shepparton (Victoria), erected by the Reinforced Concrete and Monier Pipe Construction Co. Width, 25 feet; length, 240 feet, in six 40-feet spans. Piers (solid) are 41 feet high; in all there are 80 piles. Expansion joint at the central pier for lengthening and shortening the superstructure to provide against thermal stresses.
