- Abstract
Consequent upon the increased railway traffic and heavier engine traffic, the work of renewing the Maribyrnong bridge, near Footscray, Melbourne, was commenced nearly three years ago, and completed last month. Although over 320 trains passed over the bridge daily, no attempt was made to provide a temporary diversion, and the renewal work was carried out without stoppage to traffic.
