Abstract

This describes some of the engineering features of the duplication of this important viaduct. The author, who has superintended the work, gives some interesting details of the construction. He deals with the question of cantilever girders in spans from 35 to 75 feet and the arrangement of the piers to avoid obstruction of traffic.
